Thailand Retreat

Join us for this 11 day Intensive Retreat. We run Beginner and Advanced Level at the same time. This is one of the most beautiful places on Earth: the Floating Praiwan Rafthouse at Chewlan Lake in Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand.

The pristine natural beauty, stillness and peace of "the lake" need to be experienced to believe that such a place exists.

An hour by car from Surattani airport, another hour on an awe inspiring journey by longtail boat, and then we've reached our wildlife sanctuary on Chewlan lake...a stunning and incredibly peaceful lake in the midst of the most unspoiled and beautiful jungle and surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs. The wildlife includes many different species of monkeys and rare tropical birds, hornbills, monitor lizards, eagles, gibbons and even elephants and tigers...but no mosquitos!
bamboo huts
We are staying in simple but beautiful bamboo huts that are floating on the lake. Imagine waking up to the sound of the gibbons and birds, then going for a kayak ride to the other side to greet the monkeys and the awakening jungle, then back to meditation and yoga practice on our floating Sala…what a way to start the day!
Ralf Marzen
Thai Massage class with Ralf Marzen
The major part of our days is filled with 6 hours of Thai Yoga Massage instruction and practice. This environment is ideal to study this healing art in a focused, relaxed and undistracted way. Our quiet evenings are usually spent relaxing or talking, chanting or stargazing.

Despite the remote location, our resident cooks manage to serve 3 delicious meals a day, consisting of fresh fish from the lake, brown rice and loads of fresh vegetables and fruit. There are always plenty of vegetarian options.

Testimonials

I am so grateful for the “space” that was held for us at this retreat! The breathwork, bodywork, and energy held was able to allow me to take my armor off, for which I am eternally grateful!  C. L.

"The retreat at the Jungle yoga has been, so far, one of the most beautiful experiences I have had in my life. Everything was just perfect. Maybe for the first time in my life, I really experienced the HERE and NOW. It was an ongoing meditation, full of joy, love and amazing people. It's a perfect place to let go of the past weights and feel free. I feel so inspired, full of life, vitality, joy to share with the world now! Thank you!" P.K.

"A PILGRIMAGE TO THE HEART! This retreat is an absolute jewel. Taking place in the most fantastic surrounding it is a pilgrimage in which I not only touched and unraveled the essence of Thai massage but also of my own heart. A life-changing experience full of loving-kindness, compassion and healing."

"The beauty of the lake was only surpassed by the amount of love shared, knowledge passed, and true passion for the art of Thai massage.  Ralf and his team pulled off as complete of a training as I've ever been a part of.  Well done!" D.H.

"I've been attending the retreat in Khao Sok three years in row now because I love it so much. Ralf is a genuine teacher, he stays simple, complete, very present and clear in his explanations. I love everything about his teaching. The days go by so quickly in this paradise of a location! A life time experience. It brought me so much and is still carrying me every day. Kop kun ka dear teacher!" D.P.
