Thailand RetreatJoin us for this 11 day Intensive Retreat. We run our Beginner and Advanced Level at the same time, and for 2025, for those joining the advanced level, we have a brand new Masterclass! . This venue one of the most beautiful places on Earth: the Floating Praiwan Rafthouse at Chewlan Lake in Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand.
The pristine natural beauty, stillness and peace of "the lake" need to be experienced to believe that such a place exists. An hour by car from Surattani airport, another hour on an awe inspiring journey by longtail boat, and then we've reached our wildlife sanctuary on Chewlan lake...a stunning and incredibly peaceful lake in the midst of the most unspoiled and beautiful jungle and surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs. The wildlife includes many different species of monkeys and rare tropical birds, hornbills, monitor lizards, eagles, gibbons and even elephants and tigers...but no mosquitos! We are staying in simple but beautiful bamboo huts that are floating on the lake. Imagine waking up to the sound of the gibbons and birds, then going for a kayak ride to the other side to greet the monkeys and the awakening jungle, then back to meditation and yoga practice on our floating Sala…what a way to start the day! The major part of our days is filled with 6 hours of Thai Yoga Massage instruction and practice. This environment is ideal to study this healing art in a focused, relaxed and undistracted way. Our quiet evenings are usually spent relaxing or talking, chanting or stargazing. Despite the remote location, our resident cooks manage to serve 3 delicious meals a day, consisting of fresh fish from the lake, brown rice and loads of fresh vegetables and fruit. There are always plenty of vegetarian options. This retreat is an unforgettable and often life-changing experience for participants. 'The lake' at JungleYoga is a magical place and we look forward to welcoming you there in February! For more information please also see www.jungleyoga.com |
