Embodied Trauma Healing Retreat in Wales
16th-20th October 2019
A four day seminar in working with trauma, using touch and dialogue
This retreat is for bodyworkers/ massage therapists, coaches, psychotherapists, yoga teachers, educators and all others who want to enhance their understanding of and develop essential skills in working with trauma.
It will also be a profound and healing personal experience within the most beautiful Welsh countryside.
If you work with people, you work with trauma. Whether through individual or trans-generational trauma or simply living in a traumatised culture, we are all affected by the grip trauma has on our bodies and psyches, making the skills to overcome its stifling effects so essential for our wellbeing and our capacity to enjoy life.
This highly practical seminar will explore the effects of both shock and developmental trauma on ourselves and the people we work with and teach you powerful skills to facilitate positive shifts on a somatic and emotional level.
It will include presentations on trauma healing, a variety of awareness and movement exercises as well as partner and group processes. Our main focus will be on developing therapeutic skills to use touch and dialogue in the process of trauma healing.
The workshop is facilitated by Ralf Marzen, psychologist, trauma therapist and bodyworker. Ralf is trained in a number of trauma healing modalities including NARM, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Integrated Somatic Psychotherapy (ISP). He co-teaches on the NARM trainings as a senior assistant. Ralf is also the director of StillPoint Centre for WellBeing in London and Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage. He has over 20 years experience working with individuals and groups
Cost inc. accommodation & meals: £750 single occupancy room (limited availability), £650 shared room. A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to confirm your place. The balance payment is due 1 month before the beginning of the retreat.
