THAI YOGA MASSAGE IN THE SIDE POSITION/ PREGNANCY

This course focuses on adapting Thai Massage to the needs of pregnant women and patients who can’t lie on their backs comfortably. The Side-lying position is a wonderful alternative for these patient groups. It is very comfortable and stable and allows us to do a complete and intensive workout on all energy lines and parts of the body.

In this course you will learn to give a complete 2 hour whole body Thai Yoga Massage in the Side-lying position. Special emphasis is placed on adapting the work to the needs of pregnant women. The different stages of pregnancy and their indications and contraindications as well as the use of props will be discussed.

Although this course is designed mainly for practitioners who want to offer Thai Yoga Massage to pregnant women, it is also suitable for anybody wishing to inspire their practice and expand their repertoire in the Side-lying position.

All it takes to remember this truth is a moment of simply being quiet, of dropping all the mental activity and noise…and then to see what is left.

Unfortunately most of us don’t give much attention to the simplicity and beauty of this present moment. We are continually running around like hamsters in a wheel, looking outside for happiness and fulfillment. As the pace of modern life keeps accelerating, we disconnect more and more from our essence, our nervous systems often locked in a constant stress-loop.

The techniques we teach at Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage are ancient spiritual practices that help us connect with an inner sense of freedom and peace. Yoga, meditation and giving or receiving Thai yoga massage encourage us to slow down and settle into the moment so that we can rediscover the silence that is underneath all the habitual mental activity.

In our courses, we always try to create an atmosphere that is focused yet relaxed and fun so that all participants have enough space to unwind, drop into their bodies, let go of worries and stress, and reconnect with themselves and each other. Learning doesn’t have to be hard work…we prefer it to be a joyful experience!
