Ralf Marzen, born 1971 in Germany, has been studying Eastern healing arts since the early 90s. On his first trip to India he deeply fell in love with Asian culture, philosophy and spirituality. Many journeys were to follow, and he has spent a number of years living in various Asian countries, particularly in Northern Thailand.
The practices of Hatha yoga and Vipassana meditation became important tools in his own personal development and he started sharing his passion by teaching yoga in the mid 90s. Later on he also began his studies in Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan.
Ralf holds a degree in clinical psychology. His large theoretical and practical background in both Eastern and Western psychology and philosophy allows him to draw from many different sources in his work.
During his studies he explored several forms of bodywork and body centered psychotherapy. Still searching to find “his” modality, in a small hilltribe village in Northern Thailand he then discovered the ancient healing art of Traditional Thai Massage.
He had the honor to study with the late Asokananda, a true master and pioneer in his field, for many years, and has also studied with Thai masters Chaiyuth Pryasith and Pichet Boonthumme.
